Faker plunged into a fierce battle as IG tenaciously equalized the score! Doran’s critical mistake allowed WEI to deliver a legendary performance.

Greetings to all LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners, this is Tianxia Game Exchange.

The S14 World Championship qualifiers have entered the second match. After losing the first game, IG once again deployed the Caitlyn system for fast pushing. Amid continuous mid-game chaos, IG seized Doran’s mistake to counterattack and claim the Baron.

Subsequently, IG began to leverage their lineup advantage, resisting T1’s repeated flanking attempts to fiercely even the score.

IG unveils the Caitlyn strategy while T1 secures victory in the Rift Herald team fight.

During the second game’s draft phase, IG on the blue side picked Orianna along with a nerfed jungle Wukong, followed by a tank Sion in the first rotation and then Caitlyn to establish a lane-pushing composition. The success of this lineup heavily depends on Caitlyn gaining early dominance to drive the team’s tempo, making the entire composition very solid if that happens.

On the red side, T1 first locked in a highly aggressive jungle-support duo of Jarvan and Rakan, picked Quasanti top in the first rotation, and Akali mid paired with Miss Fortune bot in the second. This lineup boasts strong initiation power, with the mid-jungle synergy as the core focus.

At the start, T1 opted to swap lanes and had Jarvan invade IG’s jungle to steal the red buff, while IG mirrored by invading to take the opposite buff.

T1 forced lane swaps, but Caitlyn still managed to dismantle two turret plates. Mid lane clashes forced Rookie to burn flash early. IG rushed the first dragon, while T1’s Jarvan and Rakan attempted to aggressively contest Orianna but lacked damage. IG’s jungle and support counterattacked, killing Rakan and securing the dragon smoothly.

Later, IG grouped to attempt an early Rift Herald rush. Jarvan initiated and secured a kill, but after Doran’s teleport, he unleashed heavy damage, enabling T1 to counter with a 2-for-4 trade. The Shy, low on health, skillfully kited to buy time until teammates respawned, allowing IG to claim two Rift Heralds and coordinate a bot lane kill on Quasanti.

T1 repeatedly flanked to gain ground, putting IG at a disadvantage.

Both teams fiercely contested bot lane turret damage. IG was poised to take the first turret, but Meiko’s mistake led to him being solo killed by Quasanti, preventing IG from securing the first tower. After returning to base and coming back, IG’s turret push was interrupted again by a strong engage from T1’s mid and support, resulting in another kill on Meiko and stalling IG’s siege momentum.

IG finally took down the first turret at 14 minutes. T1 tried to TP flank for a fight, but IG’s timely support arrived, resulting in a skill exchange with no casualties. However, Doran’s subsequent misplay with his ultimate led to his death after a failed engage, turning the tide in IG’s favor.

T1 secured the second dragon. At 16 minutes, IG invaded the jungle but encountered T1’s team. Rookie’s ultimate was perfectly timed to kill Doran, and shortly after, T1 faced another setback when Oner, low on health, was caught and killed by IG during a jungle invasion.

During the third dragon team fight, IG positioned to rush it, but T1 initiated. Jarvan’s ultimate was dodged by GALA, and Faker’s Akali entry failed to make an impact. IG killed Rakan and then executed Quasanti with a precise ultimate, securing the dragon successfully.

Facing adversity, T1’s top laner teleported in to assassinate Rookie with Akali, succeeding in the kill. However, IG’s reinforcements arrived, and after GALA interrupted Faker’s recall, he was killed during the ensuing team fight. T1 gained a crucial kill and quickly took the Herald.

Doran’s fatal mistake allowed IG to resiliently equalize the score.

In the fourth dragon team fight, T1’s Quasanti flanked and teleported to engage. Although GALA initially created space, Wukong entered, disrupting Miss Fortune’s ultimate but died. Doran then re-engaged successfully, rescuing Caitlyn and securing kills. IG suffered a devastating team wipe with four deaths and lost the dragon.

At 27 minutes, Doran initiated a top lane catch on Rookie, but IG’s reinforcements arrived and counterattacked. IG quickly eliminated Miss Fortune. Wukong fully engaged, and despite Faker’s Akali overcommitting and dying, T1 was wiped out. IG capitalized by taking the Baron.

During the Baron push, T1 attempted another team fight. Faker flanked alone, killing two enemies before being taken down by WEI. The Shy stayed behind to hold off opponents while Rookie recalled and teleported back to the fight, leading a full chase to kill Miss Fortune. After the fifth dragon spawned, WEI initiated on Faker, severely damaging him, enabling IG to secure the Elder Dragon and move into match point.

WEI’s Wukong farmed excellently, continuously initiating and supporting in the jungle to wear down opponents. At 35 minutes, seizing Jarvan’s position, Rookie decisively used his ultimate to pull back enemies, and WEI aggressively started the fight, coordinating with teammates to secure kills and the Baron.

With the Baron buff, IG’s Wukong decisively initiated, reducing enemy numbers. Faker failed to reach the carries, and IG pushed straight to the base, ending the game.
