In the S15 World Championship Swiss round BO1 match between TES and G2, TES secured a straightforward 1-0 win over G2, earning their first win at the tournament. Congrats to TES!

In this game, G2 banned Aphelios, Neeko, Jarvan, Rumble, and Renata, opting for Sion top, Xin Zhao jungle, Cassiopeia mid, and Lucian with Xayah bot. TES banned Akali, Wukong, Taliyah, Alistar, and Poppy, picking Aatrox top, Trundle jungle, Orianna mid, with Yuumi and Jhin bot.

At 3 minutes, Kanavi on Trundle ganked and dove to kill brokenblade’s Sion, giving JKL’s Yuumi the first blood. At 14 minutes, a top lane skirmish saw G2 dive to kill creme’s Orianna, but JKL’s Yuumi flashed in and was instantly killed. However, TES’s top and jungle cleaned up to score a 2-for-4 trade. Early on, TES took down the first turret bot, secured a dragon and Rift Herald, gaining a 3k gold lead. Around 20 minutes, TES aggressively contested the Rift Herald; G2 tried to engage on 369’s Aatrox but lacked damage. TES secured the Rift Herald and then collapsed to wipe G2.

At 25 minutes, TES attempted to catch Hans Sama’s Xayah but failed to kill him. Caps on Orianna took down JKL’s Yuumi, but Kanavi on Trundle cleaned up for a triple kill. TES traded 1-for-3 and then secured the first Baron. At 28 minutes, TES initiated a fight on the high ground, using brokenblade’s Sion ultimate, pushed down G2’s mid inhibitor, then rotated bot to finish off G2’s jungler Xin Zhao and destroyed the bottom inhibitor. By 30 minutes, Caps pushed top against JKL’s Yuumi, but TES counterattacked, winning a 2-for-3 fight and breaking all three of G2’s inhibitors.

Finally, at 32 minutes, Caps on Orianna tried to push against JKL’s Yuumi but was dodged by JKL’s flash and instantly killed. TES then eliminated three G2 members and secured the match victory.
