VCTCN: The Bee Sting strikes sharply! Wolves defeat TE 2-1 to claim the opening match victory!

During the first round of the 2026 VCTCN Starting Tournament winners bracket, Wolves overcame TE 2-1 and are set to play against XLG in the winners bracket's second round.

In the first half pistol round, FengF’s clutch 1v1 defense secured the opening point, but Wolves immediately changed tactics in round 2, with the Bee Sting squad tearing through TE’s defense at A site, turning the game around and forcing TE to “all jump off the cliff” in round 3. In round 5, Xiaofei held B site alone, stalling TE’s retake and scoring an ACE, leading the team to a four-round winning streak. TE fell into economic trouble but started to recover after getting rifles, winning retakes with Kai and FengF’s strong performances, tying the half at 6-6.

In the second half, Wolves failed to win the full buy in round 15; Kai held mid to pull Wolves out of position. TE’s dual duelist and dual initiator lineup ramped up aggression, winning four straight rounds. However, in round 17, TE’s first forced push lacked ultimate use and was stopped by Wolves, who took the first point of the half. Round 19 saw TE perfectly retake B site with a flawless team wipe. Despite two timeouts, Wolves couldn’t score in the second half and eventually lost 13-7 to TE on Abyssal Cavern after TE’s mid-B split in round 20.

After losing the pistol round in the first half, Wolves once again transformed into the Bee Sting squad to dismantle TE’s defense. In round 6, both teams clashed at C site, with Qiutian breaking through TE’s retake under full lockdown, eliminating two defenders. Following a timeout, TE held strong at B site in round 7, with Kai flanking to trap Wolves and secure the round. Kai then played the initiator role to firmly defend A site for another point. Wolves showed strong defense in the first half, resisting TE’s retakes and gaining a two-point lead.

In the second half, TE’s Justice squad defeated Wolves’ Bee Sting squad in round 14. The teams exchanged mid-control, with Wolves’ defense scoring points by taking early fights, catching TE off guard. TE used all their timeouts and clawed back four rounds. In round 22, TE faked multiple times and rushed B site but was caught in a pincer attack by Wolves. Round 23 saw TE group rush A, but Wolves lost two players on A’s second floor and chose to save their weapons. Wolves held B site in round 24 and seized the opportunity to win Hidden Sanctuary 13-11.

In the first half, round 3 saw Qiutian clutch a 1v2 retake to get the opening point. Riding on Qiutian’s performance, Wolves scored three straight rounds. In round 6, FengF and Leizi used their ultimates to rush A site, catching Wolves off guard and winning the round. Round 8 featured a long battle at B site, with Wolves’ Skye clearing flashes and holding the entrance to secure the round. In round 11, Wolves’ uncoordinated A site defense was systematically broken by TE, giving TE their 4th point. Round 12 saw Wolves defend B site tightly, pinching TE on A site and winning the round. Half ended with Wolves leading 8-4 over TE.

In the second half, after losing the pistol round, Wolves resumed their Bee Sting style to retake A site and staged a comeback. Wolves won four consecutive rounds, leaving TE without timeouts and on the brink of defeat. In round 18, Wolves rushed B and eliminated Viva for the first kill. Patiently waiting for TE’s mistakes, Wolves executed a flawless team wipe and secured a 13-5 victory on Source Factory Stronghold.
