VCTCN: Tianlu’s rookie debut completely dominates the arena, TYL sweeps FPX 2-0

In the first round of the winners bracket at the 2026 VCTCN Kickoff, Tianlu swept FPX 2-0 and will meet EDG in the winners bracket second round.

In the first half, Tianlu took the pistol round, and FPX secured a rifle round win in the third round with steady play. In round 6, FPX made an information error and was outplayed by Tianlu, who eliminated them all at point A. Round 7 saw FPX control mid and take out three from Tianlu, but without securing the spike; when they returned to plant, Tianlu’s two-against-four defense wiped them out. Tianlu strung together six consecutive wins. In round 11, during FPX’s eco round, they attacked point B but Life’s triple kill helped Tianlu secure a money-saving round comeback. Throughout the first half, Tianlu’s young players Splash and Erv showcased the fresh talent of VCTCN newcomers. The half ended with Tianlu leading 9-3 over FPX.

In the second half, slowly’s triple kill led the team to win the pistol round. FPX’s positioning was fully read by Tianlu, who then secured four consecutive wins to claim victory on Deep Sea Pearl.

In the first half, Erv strongly defended the site and Tianlu won the pistol round. In round 4, FPX cleared point A and immediately rotated the spike to point B, leaving Tianlu’s Mingju no chance to react. Round 5 saw FPX playing slowly but Tianlu countered with an eco round; slowly took the initiative to get the first kill, and together with scales eliminated FPX, completing a comeback with a money-saving round. Tianlu achieved a five-win streak, and in round 11, Erv secured a triple kill inside Setrod’s poison cloud against Youlong. Tianlu dominated FPX throughout the first half.

In the second half, Erv continued his strong performance as Tianlu won the pistol round. In round 155, during FPX’s rifle round, Splash slid into point B and took down two players, breaking through FPX’s defense again. Tianlu secured five consecutive wins in the second half to claim victory on Hidden Sanctuary.
