T1 pulled off an epic comeback! BLG got swept by JDG, and Viper's form looks concerning!

At the 2026 LCK Cup, the horror story of "The Undying T1" unfolded once more. Facing KT, T1 was down 14,000 gold and 1-15 in kills but still achieved a legendary comeback! Reviewing the match, KT dominated the early game with an unstoppable pace, yet poor execution prevented them from closing out. As the game progressed, T1’s strong late-game composition came into full force; Lulu protected the late-game powerhouses Azir and Aphelios, repelling KT’s repeated attacks! In total, five dragons, two Elder Dragons, and four Barons were contested, and T1 clawed back from a 1-15 deficit to 9-18, ultimately securing the victory! A top-tier turnaround — never count T1 out, never say they’re done, because they always deliver a knockout blow to the rumors!

Meanwhile, in the LPL, a high-profile clash between BLG and JDG took place. BLG had been riding a four-game winning streak, with high hopes pinned on their “Galactic Battleship,” especially after adding Viper as the final piece! However, in this matchup against JDG, BLG was swept 2-0, with both of their carry players underperforming! Mid-laner Knight faced off against the former LPL prodigy HongQ but failed to dominate lane or make an impact in team fights, signaling a possible shift of eras with another rising star mid-laner emerging. Down in the bot lane, Viper’s form was even worse, clearly outclassed by Gala. Although Gala occasionally made mistakes at critical moments, his overall pressure was significant!

The performance gap between Gala and Viper was quite noticeable. In the first game, Aphelios faced off against Yuumi, and the latter’s champion traits were simply too oppressive (as seen in T1’s match against KT, where Yuumi dominated the entire game, making Aphelios ineffective in the late stages)! In the second game, Seraphine battled poke-style Varus, and as the game dragged on, BLG’s composition lost its edge, with the AD carry damage output clearly inferior. Although BLG’s lineup looked strong on paper, they sometimes struggled to adapt, unable to decide who to protect or how to play from behind, leading to disjointed play. Viper still needs more time to gel with the team, and if BLG wants to claim dominance, their star player must step up!
