And today, the leak about the third Hall of Fame member has been made public.

Faker embodies all the qualities of a Hall of Fame player, so his induction was inevitable. Uzi’s inclusion is also debated, but his global influence, leadership in the LPL region, and development of a unique bot lane playstyle justify his place in the Hall of Fame.

For the third inductee, the general consensus was between Caps and The Shy. Previous leaks indicated that Riot did not select Hall of Fame members strictly by region order, which increased the value of Uzi’s induction.

However, new leaks reveal that the third inductee will be Caps. If true, it suggests an unspoken rule in the selection process prioritizing iconic figures from major regions, with Caps obviously representing the top player from the LEC region.

Caps’ qualifications analyzed: The Renaissance of LEC

Let’s briefly analyze why Caps is likely the third Hall of Fame inductee. Some viewers may agree Caps deserves induction but not necessarily as the third member. In reality, Caps’ influence is greater than many realize.

In my opinion, two key factors support Caps’ induction: first, his personal achievements are very strong; second, his rise marked the true peak of the LEC region.

Regarding achievements, putting aside regional differences, Caps has numerous European championships and is undoubtedly the top player there. His international honors rival Uzi’s, including one MSI championship and two World Championship runner-up finishes, with multiple victories over Faker-led T1 and other LCK teams at his peak.

Moreover, Caps and his team G2 pioneered a renaissance style in Europe, using unconventional and imaginative champion picks and compositions to great effect, making their gameplay highly entertaining.

Considering all this, Caps truly deserves the third Hall of Fame spot more than The Shy.

The Brazilian source who leaked this also mentioned Caps’ skins would be Sylas and Yasuo; Sylas as a Battle Pass skin and Yasuo as a high-priced, alternate form skin.

The fourth Hall of Fame member: possible candidates

I believe Caps excels in every respect, but his skin sales might not match those of Uzi and Faker. Globally, Caps’ popularity is somewhat lower. For regular players, the cost-effective Sylas Battle Pass skin is appealing, but the expensive Yasuo skin may not sell as well.

To be honest, in this regard, Caps doesn’t outperform The Shy. If the goal is purely to maximize revenue, The Shy’s skins would likely sell better.

Now, about the much-anticipated fourth Hall of Fame member: the pressure is on Riot. I think the fourth inductee must come from the NA region, but NA lacks players with strong enough achievements or influence.

If we must pick, veteran Doublelift, mid laner Pobelter, or C9 mid laner Jensen might have a chance. Whoever is chosen might feel underwhelming, and skin sales may be low. However, Riot will likely consider every region’s feelings, while other players from China and Korea may have to wait for the next round.
