BLG's Behind-the-Scenes Story Sparks Discussion, Knight Sacrificed for the Team, Daeny Apologizes and Recognizes the Mid Laner

Hello to all LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners, this is World Game Hub.

The competition in the second stage of this year's LPL is quite intense. The top team from the first stage, BLG, also failed to maintain an unbeaten record, losing to TES and currently ranking second. In many matches, they have exposed longstanding issues of lacking discipline and high error rates.

Recently, BLG released a new VLOG, revealing some behind-the-scenes stories.

Knight Makes Sacrifices, Daeny Apologizes and Recognizes

Regarding player performance in the second stage, the states of Bin, On, and Xun have been somewhat unstable, often becoming points of misjudgment. Conversely, Knight's performance has improved.

This contrasts significantly with the Pioneer Tournament period, during which Knight's form was actually the weakest within BLG.

In BLG's VLOG, there is a segment showing Daeny communicating with Knight. In this clip, Knight is watching matches from other regions, while Daeny speaks beside him: "We are now playing in the LPL. Knight can showcase himself, do what he wants to do. From a coach's perspective, I feel somewhat apologetic towards you because many times we are demanding or requesting you to do certain things."

Considering BLG's previous gameplay style, Daeny's meaning is quite clear: during the Pioneer Tournament, Knight was the sacrificial role for the team, often needing to do more tasks and play around other teammates. However, after returning to the LPL stage, Knight can more freely display his abilities without needing to consider so much.

This is also one reason for Knight's improved performance. BLG's shift in league approach is also exploring more possibilities.

Knight Possesses Strong Commanding Ability, Needs to Speak Loudly

Another part about Knight in the VLOG occurs during off-stage team reviews. Coach Daeny stated that Knight's in-game judgments are very accurate. If teammates could listen to his commands promptly, BLG could make correct choices in those engagements and achieve good outcomes.

But Daeny also mentioned that Knight's commands are often not forceful enough. If Knight could be more decisive and speak louder to direct his teammates, the effect would be better.

This actually points to Knight's personality issue. Knight is recognized as a top-tier player and gifted mid laner in the LPL, but his personality is indeed not quite suited for being the team leader. Although his in-game judgments are often correct, his inability to quickly and effectively guide teammates is also a current problem for BLG.

Additionally, there is the often joked about issue of Knight's Chinese. He has unclear articulation, making it hard for many LPL viewers to understand him. Some even feel Viper's Chinese is more clear and standard.

Therefore, these abilities beyond his personal skills also limit Knight's capacity to positively influence the team. If Daeny can find ways to correct this, Knight could truly reach his full potential.

The "Dan Shen Nine Trials" Continue, BLG Strives to Raise Their Upper Limit

From this behind-the-scenes VLOG, it can be seen that Coach Daeny is indeed quite interesting. While watching matches, viewers often see the broadcast cutting to the restroom camera, showing Daeny shouting and cursing. But off the stage, Daeny is very gentle, proactively apologizing to players and bonding with them.

Also, the "Dan Shen Nine Trials" series developed by fans last year is still ongoing this year. Daeny's style is like this: during the regular season, he likes to use various different lineup combinations to test players' performances, including assigning tasks off-stage for players to complete, thereby better enhancing the team's upper limit and strength.

From the first segment where Daeny apologized to Knight, it can be seen that many matches in the second stage regular season for BLG are primarily for training purposes, opting for gameplay centered around different players.

Personally, I believe BLG will still encounter many upset matches in later competitions. However, once entering the playoffs, BLG is likely to switch to their strongest form, showcasing the results of a season's training. Of course, BLG still has current flaws. During training phases, players often do not maintain the right mindset towards matches, being overly relaxed and giving opportunities, sometimes failing to achieve the training purpose. This still needs correction.
