Greetings to all LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners, this is the Game Hub.
Over the past two days, the LPL has held the Knight's Road matches of the second stage. What was expected to be a lackluster series turned into a frenzy within the Nirvana group. First, TT successfully defeated IG to advance, followed by explosive performances from EDG and LGD.

The LPL has also reached a historic milestone, with three Nirvana teams qualifying for the Summit group at the same time.
LPL historic moment: three Nirvana teams advance.
Since the LPL restructured, the Nirvana group has essentially been equivalent to the former LSPL. Initially, matches within the Nirvana group were double round-robin, but the organizers later simplified the format to single round-robin, as few people bothered to watch Nirvana games. This change reduced even the limited opportunities for Nirvana teams to gain experience.

In the first stage this year, the performances of the Nirvana and Perseverance groups were relatively mediocre, with no one expecting Nirvana teams to stage a comeback.
However, this year's Knight's Road brought a major surprise. The top four teams from the Nirvana group faced the bottom four from the Summit group. Pre-match expectations were that LNG, ranked first in Nirvana, might beat WE to secure a Summit spot, but in the end, WE was the only team to win a playoff berth across all four matches.

NIP, ranked fifth in the Summit group with a 7-7 record, was defeated by EDG with a 3-2 score. WBG, ranked sixth, lost 2-3 to LGD yesterday. IG, ranked seventh, was beaten by TT.
One Nirvana victory might be a coincidence, but three Nirvana teams simultaneously pulling off upsets is a first in LPL history.
RNG's mid-laner revives, leaving the league's top team baffled.
Due to a lack of attention, most viewers are unfamiliar with players from Nirvana teams. In reality, many Nirvana squads have undergone major roster changes, but one ID caught everyone's eye—LGD's mid-laner Tangyuan, a former RNG player.

A player once hyped for being unstoppable in scrims but performing poorly in official matches has now successfully revived and returned to the Summit group.
In yesterday's match against WBG, LGD jumped to a 2-0 lead, leaving WBG dumbfounded. The two games were far from close; LGD dominated completely, with a 13-2 kill score in one match and a 26-minute victory in the other.
WBG responded by forcing two consecutive wins, but in the deciding game, LGD pulled out a mid-lane Vayne and a bottom-lane Draven. They directly outplayed Elk, securing a lane kill and gaining an advantage. Elk paid the price for his overconfidence once again. WBG attempted to take down the Draven mid-game but failed, allowing LGD to snowball and ultimately win the match.

After these three astonishing games, the LPL held a playoff team selection round. BLG, the league's top team, was completely baffled by the three Nirvana teams advancing. They eventually chose WE as their first-round opponent, as the other three Nirvana teams seemed harder to analyze, so they opted for a familiar one.
Veterans defeated, playoff suspense reaches new heights.
JDG looked around and decided TT was an easier matchup, selecting them. TES will face LGD, and AL was matched with EDG. Honestly, the top four LPL teams are quite fortunate to have skipped the Knight's Road. Considering that NIP, ranked second to fourth, are only one win apart from the top teams, anyone could slip up.

If TES, AL, or even JDG had to play in the Knight's Road, there's no guarantee they wouldn't have stumbled.
The reason for such an outrageous outcome undoubtedly involves some complacency from Summit teams. However, it must be said that the Nirvana teams, even in their lower position, never gave up or slacked off. They truly worked hard to improve. If you don't put in the effort, it's tough to win even when your opponent underestimates you.

The large-scale comeback of Nirvana teams is actually good news for the LPL. There are too many "old fossils" in the league, and previously, rookies couldn't surpass these veterans. The LPL's metabolism has been problematic. Now, with a concentrated rise of new talent, the league gains fresh energy. Veteran players must work even harder to hold their positions.
In the upcoming elimination rounds, another Nirvana team upset is not out of the question. This year's playoffs will be extremely exciting.
