Confirming 7/19 teams for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship
As of the evening of September 1, 2026, 7 out of 19 teams have officially secured their spots at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship. The two most recent additions are Gen.G and T1, after Gen.G defeated KT Rolster 3-0 in the LCK Playoffs.

LCK: 3 out of 4 teams have secured their tickets
Hanwha Life Esports is the first Korean representative to secure a spot thanks to winning the Mid-Season Invitational 2026 and subsequently meeting the condition of reaching the LCK Playoffs. HLE's achievement also gave Korea a total of 4 slots Worlds 2026 Schedule, and all four LCK representatives will go directly to the Swiss Stage.
Date September 1, Gen.G defeated KT Rolster 3-0 in Round 2 of the Playoffs. This result ensured Gen.G would be among the teams qualifying for Worlds. At the same time, KT dropping to the losers' bracket meant that T1 also officially locked in their ticket, regardless of the outcome of the T1 vs. HLE match on September 2.
Thus, LCK has only one undetermined spot left, with KT Rolster, Dplus KIA, and BNK FEARX still having chances depending on the losers' bracket developments.
LCP has confirmed all 3 representatives
LCP is the first region to complete its list. Team Secret Whales defeated CTBC Flying Oyster in the Split 3 finals to claim Seed 1; CFO received Seed 2, while MVK Esports took the third slot via Championship Points.
Under the 2026 Worlds format, LCP Seed 3 will have to play in the Play-In stage, while the two higher seeds enter the Swiss Stage.
LPL currently has Bilibili Gaming
Bilibili Gaming is the first Chinese representative to secure a ticket to Worlds 2026. The LPL has a total of 4 slots thanks to their performance at MSI, but the other three representatives still have to wait for the decisive phase of the LPL.
