BLG takes strong action; Guan Zeyuan's apology is useless, and the league has been notified, while Xuan Shen is banned from streaming.

With the LPL playoffs approaching, the off-field scene is turbulent. There are two controversies involving BLG-related casters, concerning comments from Guan Zeyuan and Xuan Shen. BLG has taken decisive action to protect their players.

BLG Takes Strong Action

Yesterday, the most discussed topic was Guan Zeyuan, who posted a controversial video clip on a short-video platform.

The video opens with the number 48, followed by Guan Zeyuan throwing a paper ball at a trash can. This immediately sparked widespread outrage among netizens, as the English word for trash can is "Bin," and 48 is a derogatory term used to attack Bin.

Shortly after the controversy escalated, Guan Zeyuan deleted the video and issued an apology at noon.

In his apology, he stated that due to time constraints and limited resources, he used a hook to transition to the subsequent activity content and enhance pacing, without targeting any specific player.

After causing misunderstanding, he immediately deleted the original video and changed the opening, expressing his regret.

This apology was not accepted by netizens. As an official LPL caster, he should have been sensitive to the number 48. Opening with 48 seemed more like a way to exploit the player for attention.

Later, netizens asked BLG's official account, which directly responded that they had reported the matter to the league. The report was made after Guan Zeyuan's apology, showing that his apology was ineffective, and he may still face disciplinary action from the league.

Xuan Shen Attacks Viper, Gets Banned from Streaming

In addition to reporting Guan Zeyuan, BLG also dealt with another co-streamer, namely Xuan Shen.

On a certain platform, Xuan Shen attacked Viper, claiming that Viper apologizes after losing in other regions but acts arrogantly after winning in the LPL. He also criticized Viper for his poor attitude toward a suspected female fan who bought him chocolate.

Before that, Xuan Shen had already been stirring up drama about Viper in his streams, calling Viper a "translation machine" and frequently highlighting his in-game mistakes.

In response to these actions, Viper and BLG directly intervened. Xuan Shen, realizing he was in big trouble, said he would release a statement in a couple of days, helplessly remarking, "The Koreans are coming for me."

Soon after, BLG revealed that a certain co-streamer had been stripped of his casting privileges.

Xuan Shen has shown no signs of remorse. Last year, he was punished for heavily targeting The Shy and later apologized. This year, after changing his attitude toward The Shy, he began targeting other Korean players.

He also tried to stir up drama about Viper's differential treatment, but the audience didn't buy it, and he ended up losing his own qualification.

Guan Zeyuan's Finals Casting in Jeopardy

As a co-streamer, Xuan Shen's way of gaining attention is to exploit negative narratives about players and teams. He attacks players without restraint for traffic, constantly testing the limits of players, teams, and the league.

After attacking The Shy last year failed, he toned down a bit this year, but then attacking Viper backfired again, leading to another ban. He bites the hand that feeds him, and if this continues, his survival as a caster will be impossible.

As for Guan Zeyuan, no punishment has been confirmed yet, but some netizens have leaked that his finals casting seat has been revoked.

If true, it would be a huge loss for Guan Zeyuan. Even though he has achievements in other fields, his main base is still in League of Legends. As one of the top LPL casters, losing his qualification would be very painful.

The most absurd part of the whole thing is that BLG is currently the strongest team in the LPL. As an experienced caster, still testing BLG and offending them could very well lead to being denied the chance to cast the finals.
