The LPL points rules have aroused heated discussions, TES has no champion, and the points are pitiful, and there is no gold content at all

Hello LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners, this is the World Game Exchange.

This year's LOL event reform, each major region is divided into three different stages, and now the first stage of the competition has ended, and the LPL side has created the worst record in history.

In the process, the points rules of LPL throughout the year were also revealed, which caused heated discussions among the audience.

The LPL points rules were announced, which sparked heated discussions

In the past, the league was divided into spring and summer, and the points of the two stages were added up to determine who would get a seat in the Worlds, but now that the stages have been changed to three, the points rules will definitely change.

In the points rules announced by the results, the first stage winner has only 20 points, the second place is 15 points, and then the third and fourth are all 10 points.

There are only 5 points to enter the quarterfinals, which is almost negligible.

Then the points of the second stage are similar to the previous spring season, the first place can have 90 points, the second place is 70 points, and so on, the third stage winner has 220 points, the rules are still the same as before, the summer champion will directly become the first seed in the region, and then the second seed with the highest points except for the championship.

Compared with the points of the second and third stages, the gold content of the first stage can be equated with nothing, TES went to the end, but there was no champion, it can only be called a winner, and then the points are pitiful.

The lowest gold content event, the Global Pioneer Race

After the announcement of this point, the event with the lowest gold content of LOL throughout the year is the Global Pioneer Race, which is essentially an event with a water testing nature of Riot, in order to test the feasibility of the global BP, and it turned out that the global BP is indeed exciting, and then directly turned the later stages into the global BP mode.

In this case, the existence of the first stage is even less meaningful.

Everyone thought that the core reason for the new stage was for global BP, but now the only particularity of the first stage has disappeared, and it seems that there is really no need to exist.

Then there is the issue of the setting of the event, the Global Pioneer ended in just one week, the time is extremely short, and the format is basically the same as the original MSI, so it can be said that an event with no new ideas except for the global BP has completely reduced to chicken ribs.

Riot will have to think about whether to keep the first stage next year, or whether to change to the previous two stages of the double international event. From a spectator perspective, the addition of an international event is great, but the Vanguard event isn't exciting enough, and Riot may want to find an event with a new setting to attract spectators.

LOL events have been adjusted, and the Pioneer Tournament may be cancelled

Personally, I think that in the case of the full application of global BP to all events, this event of the Global Pioneer should be cancelled, and the audience hopes for the return of the regional confrontation competition, which is characterized by a large number of participating teams, and the shortcomings are also this.

The large number of participating teams means that the cost of holding the competition has also increased, and the competition in the competition cannot select the strongest team, but the strongest competition area, due to the large number of participating teams, the competition system may have to use more BO1.

These are big problems, and if you do the regional competition in different regions, as before, the excitement will be reduced, and that's the biggest problem Riot is facing right now.

Riot needed to come up with a new plan to differentiate the first stage of the game from the second and third stages, and have their own characteristics, and historically, there were three options, All-Star, Continental and Regional Matchup, which was the previous MSC.

Personally, I think these three are not very feasible, and from the standpoint of LPL audiences, I must want to see the China-South Korea confrontation the most, just like the previous MSC, but this is not easy to get in Europe, America and the wild card region, and it is still very difficult to do overall, it depends on how Riot plans.
