IG secured their first victory in the third stage! They swept WE 2-0! Rookie scored a solo kill in lane with explosive damage.

In the BO3 match between IG and WE in the third stage of LPL, IG continued to start their jungler Wei. After a fierce battle lasting two games, IG defeated WE with a score of 2-0, claiming their first win of the third stage.

In the first game, IG had Jax in the top lane, Poppy in the jungle, Taliyah in the mid lane, and Kai'Sa with Galio in the bot lane; while WE featured Gwen in the top lane, Monkey King in the jungle, Orianna in the mid lane, and Ezreal with Niko in the bot lane. During the laning phase, IG took down the first blood tower in the bot lane, and both teams were relatively even in economy early on.

In the mid-game, IG quickly took down the Rift Herald. At the 27-minute mark, a team fight broke out in the river, where TheShy’s Jax engaged on the backline, and Cube’s Gwen was caught out and eliminated. After a 2-for-5 team wipe of WE, IG secured the first Baron. Later, IG proactively engaged the Baron, with Wei’s Poppy using her ultimate to knock away Monki’s Monkey King, allowing IG to take the second Baron, although WE managed to kill two IG players. At the 35-minute mark, WE secured the dragon, but TheShy’s Jax teleported behind for a flank, leading IG to wipe out WE and win the first game. Rookie’s Taliyah had the highest damage in the first game.

In the second game, WE had Ornn in the top lane, Troll in the jungle, Akali in the mid lane, and Jhin with Rakan in the bot lane; while IG featured Rumble in the top lane, Zhao Xin in the jungle, Aurelion Sol in the mid lane, and Varus with Alistar in the bot lane. During the laning phase, Rookie executed a tower dive to solo kill Karis’ Akali. Subsequently, the mid-jungle support trio was very active, continuously winning small skirmishes, and IG took down the first blood tower in the bot lane, leading the economy by 3K early on.

In the mid-game, at the 26-minute mark, IG caught WE’s support in the top lane, then set up an ambush at the Baron pit. When WE arrived, IG initiated a fight, taking down WE’s top and mid AD carries, and subsequently secured the first Baron. Ultimately, at the 29-minute mark, IG pushed down WE’s mid and bot lane inhibitors, killing three WE players at the base and executing a team wipe, leading to their final victory in the match.
