Vietnam’s leading cueist, Dương Quốc Hoàng (Hoàng Sao), gave no opportunity to fellow countryman Nguyễn Anh Tuấn (Tkon), winning 9-0 to advance into the knockout stage of Hanoi Open Pool 2025.

This outstanding performance not only reinforced Hoàng Sao’s title as the "king of the TV table" but also secured his official spot in the Last 64, where top players worldwide will fiercely compete.
Hoàng Sao, with his sharp attacking style, flawless table control, and remarkable break shots, dominated his opponent from the very beginning. He took two racks in a row thanks to effective breaks, leaving Nguyễn Anh Tuấn almost no chance to respond. In the third frame, Anh Tuấn "Tkon" – a veteran player who competed in the 2023 World Cup of Pool – finally got to the table, but only to execute defensive shots as Hoàng Sao’s tight safety left no gaps.
Strong breaks continued to be the foundation for Hoàng Sao’s rapid progress. Although Anh Tuấn made an effort and pocketed the first ball in a rare moment, that was all he could achieve in this match. With nearly flawless accuracy and overwhelming form, Hoàng Sao closed out the match in less than an hour – a rare outcome in such a competitive event as Hanoi Open Pool 2025.
This performance was a perfect progression for Hoàng Sao after his convincing 9-2 victory over Đinh Chấn Kiệt in the previous round.
