At the 2026 European Open 9-Ball Pool Championship held in Sarajevo (Bosnia & Herzegovina) from March 10 to 15, Vietnamese player Duong Quoc Hoang created one of the tournament's most impressive victories by defeating Salvador Garcia with a perfect 10-0 score to secure a spot in the Last 32.

The match concluded swiftly within just about an hour. With exceptionally high form, Duong Quoc Hoang gave his opponent almost no opportunities. Effective break shots and a solid table-control style allowed him to continuously "lull" Garcia on the waiting seat, leaving the Spanish player with little room to perform.

Only in the final rack did Salvador Garcia score his first point in the match. However, after potting a few more balls, he made a regrettable mistake by misjudging an 8-7 ball situation. This error was caught by the referee, and Duong Quoc Hoang promptly finished the rack, sealing a dominant 10-0 whitewash victory.

This convincing performance shows Duong Quoc Hoang has regained his form. The win also allows him to advance directly to the Last 32 of the tournament and continue competing later in the day with a scheduled match at 21:30, facing the winner of the Aleksa Pecelj – Ruben Docampo pair.
