Manchester United reportedly agreed to sell Sancho to Inter Milan for £14 million! Sancho is willing to take a pay cut to £110,000, but demands severance pay.

Manchester United continues to seek ways to move Sancho on. To part with this difficult player, the club might need to reduce the transfer fee to give him and his agent greater incentives to agree to the departure. Should the transfer fail before the summer deadline, United will be responsible for paying Sancho’s full final contract year wages, which amount to almost £10 million.

Recently, Sancho came close to joining Roma, with Manchester United agreeing to a £20 million loan-to-buy deal, but the player declined to join. Reportedly, the breakdown was due to Sancho’s agent demanding an €11 million commission, which the Serie A club refused to pay. Now, Roma may turn to signing two Tottenham players as alternatives, including Bryan Gil and Manuel Solomon.

According to Demarsh Sykes from Sky Sports UK, Roma has not completely given up on signing Sancho. "The Romans have not abandoned the deal to sign Manchester United winger Sancho. Coach Gasperini is the main driving force behind this transfer, as he highly values the English winger."

Roma still hopes Sancho will reconsider, but the chances are slim. Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports that Inter Milan has entered the competition and reached an agreement with Manchester United to sign Sancho for £14 million (€17 million). Currently, the Nerazzurri are negotiating with Sancho and his representatives.

It is said that Sancho desires a contract with an annual salary of €6.5 million, equivalent to a weekly wage of £108,000, significantly lower than his current £250,000 per week at Manchester United. However, Roma’s offer only includes a €5.5 million yearly salary, which fails to satisfy him, so he chooses to wait, even as the summer window nears its end.

Sancho’s agent’s demand for a commission exceeding €10 million continues to be a barrier to the transfer. The agency, ELITE PROJECT GROUP LIMITED, also represents stars like Arsenal’s Saka, Chelsea’s Raphinha, and Gittens. Italian media predict that only if Manchester United pays a substantial severance package will the deal for Sancho be possible.

The 25-year-old Sancho has made his position clear: pay me enough money, or I will stay at Manchester United and collect my high salary for the last season! His contract with the Red Devils has only one year left, and upon its expiration next year, he will have more freedom to choose and likely receive better terms from his next club.

Besides Sancho, Manchester United has two other "stubborn" players to deal with. One is the €100 million man Antony, who wants to transfer to La Liga’s Real Betis, but the transfer fee has never been close to agreement. Betis head coach Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed the club’s desire to re-sign Antony this summer.

The Brazilian winger played for Betis in the second half of last season, scoring 9 goals and providing 5 assists, impressing the club, which wants to keep him. However, with just over a week left before the transfer window closes, the "Compass" still has no confirmed destination. "I haven’t talked to Antony yet," Pellegrini said. "We all know he was very happy during his six months at Betis. We want him back, and he certainly wants to return, but it depends on whether Manchester United agrees."

Dutch left-back Tyrell Malacia has been training alone at Carrington and was seen leaving together with Sancho. Recently, he was spotted training with a private coach at the non-league Trafford training ground. His agent is working hard to arrange a transfer before the deadline, but it seems few clubs have shown real interest in signing him.
