VIDEO: The captain of Vietnam's futsal team expresses regret over Hồ Văn Ý's absence

Captain Đức Hòa considers the absence of Hồ Văn Ý a major setback for the Vietnam futsal squad.

On August 15th, head coach Diego Giustozzi officially announced the list of 20 players called up to the Vietnam futsal team in preparation for the 2026 Asian futsal qualifiers. This squad combines many experienced players with promising young talents, promising strong competitiveness.

Additionally, several young players continue to earn trust, including Fixo Trần Quang Nguyên, Ala Trịnh Công Đại, Vũ Ngọc Ánh, and Pivo Nguyễn Đa Hải — the best player of the 2025 HDBank National Futsal Cup.

The most unfortunate absence is Hồ Văn Ý. The veteran futsal goalkeeper of Vietnam is currently recovering from anterior cruciate ligament surgery and is expected to need at least six months before returning to training.
