Recently, the popular Southeast Asian football social media platform Seasia Goal conducted a fascinating survey by privately messaging many regional football stars with the question: “Which team will be crowned the English Premier League champion for the 2025 season?”. This quick survey caught the eyes of fans as it gathered many prominent names from the region.

The results show that most Southeast Asian players trust Liverpool to defend their title. Players like Joao Figueiredo (Malaysia), Justin Hubner (Indonesia), and Patrik Gustavsson (Thailand) all chose the “Reds” due to their consistent playing style, squad depth, and proven resilience from last season.

However, the most surprising choice came from Nguyen Xuan Son. Instead of following the majority, Xuan Son confidently stated that the team he believes will be champion is Chelsea. The London club has been performing strongly after winning the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 this past summer.
