A Vietnamese club unexpectedly changes its home stadium ahead of the new season

Gia Định Football Club has unexpectedly declared a switch of their home venue ahead of the 2025/2026 National First Division season. The club will relocate from Tân Hiệp Stadium to Quân khu 7 Stadium.

Gia Định Football Club has officially revealed its decision to change home stadium for the 2025/2026 National First Division season. The team will play at Quân khu 7 Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City), one of the largest stadiums in the southern region, with a capacity of up to 25,000 spectators.

This move is considered a significant step in Gia Định FC’s development journey. Choosing Quân khu 7 Stadium not only provides the team with more professional playing conditions but also opens opportunities to reach and serve a larger fanbase. The club’s management stated that moving to a larger venue will serve as a “strong foundation” for the coaching staff and players to deliver exciting performances and create a vibrant atmosphere for the city’s supporters.

Previously, in the 2024-25 National Second Division season, Gia Định FC chose Tân Hiệp Stadium (Hóc Môn) as their home ground. However, Tân Hiệp Stadium only accommodates about 1,000 seats, which limited the ability to meet the growing demand from fans. Therefore, moving to Quân khu 7 Stadium represents a significant upgrade in facilities and demonstrates the team’s determination as they enter a higher level of competition.
