Forward Harry Kane affirms a strong partnership with newcomer Luis Diaz after Bayern Munich's overwhelming win against RB Leipzig.
Bayern Munich started their 2025/26 Bundesliga campaign in the best possible way with a resounding victory over RB Leipzig.
The "Bavarians" attack had an efficient day highlighted by the brilliance of the trio Michael Olise, new signing Luis Diaz, and especially Harry Kane, who scored a hat-trick. After the match, Kane expressed satisfaction with the team's performance despite the usual challenges posed by RB Leipzig.
Speaking to Sky Germany, the English striker said: "We wanted to kick off the season with an impressive display, and that's exactly what happened. Although the opponent is a very strong team, we dominated every aspect and took advantage of our chances effectively when needed, so the whole team can fully enjoy this victory."
Additionally, Kane did not hesitate to praise teammates like Olise and Diaz, noting that he feels a growing connection forming among them.
The 1993-born star added: "I have played alongside Michael for a year now and have noticed our relationship becoming stronger. In the first half, he performed excellently with some fantastic goals.
As for Lucho (Diaz), although it’s only been a few weeks, I felt an immediate connection, and today he assisted me on several occasions. This is great for the guys, boosting confidence, but of course, the entire team is working hard and this was a very impressive performance."
In this match, Bayern Munich showed clear superiority over their opponents while playing at Allianz Arena. After several chances, the Bavarian club opened the scoring through Michael Olise. Five minutes later, Luis Diaz put his name on the scoreboard with a timely finish inside the box. Before the first half ended, Olise completed his brace with a shot into the low right corner.
In the second half, Harry Kane was the standout star, scoring a hat-trick at the 64th, 74th, and 78th minutes, sealing a 6-0 victory for Bayern.
The three points earned allow coach Vincent Kompany's squad to temporarily top the Bundesliga standings before awaiting other teams to play.
