HAGL and Hanoi delivered an incredibly dramatic performance in round 2 of the 2025/26 V-League, highlighted by the spectacular display of goalkeeper Trần Trung Kiên from the Mountain Town team.
The home side Hanoi FC started stronger with several dangerous plays by Lê Xuân Tú. However, the solid defense and the excellent reflexes of Trung Kiên helped HAGL hold firm. Most notably, he made a flying save to block Xuân Tú’s close-range header in added time of the first half.
In the second half, pressure continued on HAGL’s goal. Xuân Tú, Văn Quyết, and Văn Tùng each took sharp shots, but Trung Kiên remained focused with timely saves. In the final 45 minutes alone, the visiting goalkeeper made at least five clear goal-saving interventions.
The climax came in the 90+6 minute when Thành Chung scored from Hai Long’s cross. However, VAR ruled the goal offside and it was disallowed.
The match ended 0-0. Hanoi FC missed many chances, while HAGL can be satisfied to leave Hàng Đẫy with a point.
