Coach Thach Bao Khanh expressed his views following PVF-CAND’s comeback loss to the current champions, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh, ending 1-2.
PVF-CAND endured a tough 90 minutes at Thien Truong Stadium as Thep Xanh Nam Dinh came from behind to win 2-1 in the 3rd round of the 2025/26 V-League. It was a match where Coach Thach Bao Khanh’s players started enthusiastically, scoring the opening goal, but failed to maintain their advantage in the second half.
After the match, Coach Thach Bao Khanh openly expressed his regret: “Obviously, this defeat is very disappointing. I can see there is a clear gap in the quality between the two teams. Nam Dinh has more experienced players than my team, but nevertheless, I want to congratulate my squad for their strong fighting spirit. Of course, we still have time ahead.”
The match at Thien Truong once again revealed PVF-CAND’s lack of experience and composure under pressure, as the young team makes its debut in the V-League. After Thanh Nhan’s goal at the 45th minute gave them the lead, the visiting players appeared to lose momentum in the second half, allowing the home side Nam Dinh to regain control and continuously apply pressure. With their higher-quality squad on the field, PVF-CAND’s defense made mistakes, giving Nam Dinh the chance to complete a successful comeback in the intense atmosphere of Thien Truong.
Coach Thach Bao Khanh also candidly discussed PVF CAND’s goals for this season: “We will continue to strive hard in the upcoming matches. The difference between V.League and First Division lies mainly in the intensity of play, but our players are gradually adapting to this pace. Our objective remains to secure a stable position to avoid relegation this season.”
With this loss, PVF CAND is currently placed 8th on the leaderboard with only 3 points from 3 matches. Meanwhile, the defending champions Thep Xanh Nam Dinh have climbed to 3rd place with 6 points after 3 rounds.
