Ninh Bình Club is confirmed to lead the V-League table before the competition takes a break for the FIFA Days.
Ninh Bình Club is thriving in the opening stages of the 2025/26 V-League season by winning all their first three matches. Hoàng Đức and his teammates are sure to maintain their position at the top until the league pauses for the FIFA Days in September, as Ninh Bình remains the only team yet to drop any points.
In round 3, SHB Đà Nẵng aimed to leverage their home advantage to secure their first victory of the season and accumulate points to avoid a tough relegation battle like last year. Fans of the Han River team had reason to celebrate early with Hene Philippe Boris scoring in the 12th minute to open the score at 1-0.
However, Ninh Bình demonstrated their strength shortly after with an impressive comeback. Foreign player Gustavo Henrique continued to shine, helping the team climb to the top of the standings. Within just four minutes, from the 29th to the 33rd, Gustavo Henrique scored twice to put the visitors ahead 2-1.
In the second half, Ninh Bình added another goal courtesy of Geovane Magno, securing a 3-1 victory. The V-League newcomer made a remarkable debut by winning all three matches, scoring 10 goals, and leading the league table.
Although only three rounds have passed, there are currently just three teams in the V-League that remain unbeaten. Ninh Bình stands out with three consecutive wins, while CAHN and Thể Công Viettel each have one win and one draw. In round 3, CAHN will face Hanoi in the capital derby, and Viettel will compete against Becamex TP HCM.
Despite strong investments in both domestic and foreign players, Ninh Bình FC initially aimed only for a top-3 finish in the V-League. However, with their impressive recent form and challenges faced by contenders like Hanoi and Nam Dinh, Ninh Bình can confidently emerge as a strong candidate in the championship race.
