On the afternoon of August 28, the 6th round of the 2025 National U17 Football Championship qualifiers continued with several matches.
In Group A at the Viettel Sports Center, Hanoi and The Cong Viettel delivered an exciting match that ended in a 3-3 draw. With this result, both teams have 10 points after 5 games, with Hanoi temporarily leading due to a better goal difference. In the other match, Hue drew 1-1 with Dao Ha Youth Team, earning 5 points, while Dao Ha Youth Team secured their first point.
Group B, held at the PVF Youth Football Training Center, saw many changes. Dong A Thanh Hoa lost 2-3 to Thep Xanh Nam Dinh, Hai Phong was defeated 2-3 by Luxury Ha Long, and the notable match between Song Lam Nghe An and PVF-CAND ended in a 1-1 draw.
After this round, PVF-CAND remains at the top with 14 points, Song Lam Nghe An is second with 9 points, while Dong A Thanh Hoa, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh, and Luxury Ha Long are closely following. Hai Phong currently has 3 points.
In Group C, HAGL defeated SHB Da Nang 2-1 to strengthen their lead with 11 points. In the other match, Gia Lai won 4-0 against Quang Ngai, moving up to third place with 6 points. SHB Da Nang (7 points) temporarily stands second, while Ho Chi Minh City (6 points, with one game less) and Quang Ngai (2 points) follow behind.
In Group D, Ho Chi Minh City Football Club continued to assert their strength by beating Vinh Long 4-1, maintaining the top spot with 14 points after 6 matches. An Giang drew 0-0 with Becamex Ho Chi Minh and kept second place with 9 points. Meanwhile, Dong Nai overcame Tay Ninh 1-0 to reach 6 points, equal to Becamex Ho Chi Minh but ranked higher due to goal difference. Vinh Long (5 points) and Tay Ninh (4 points) are temporarily at the bottom of the group.
The results of the 6th round further highlight the fierce competition in the groups. The leading teams—Hanoi, PVF-CAND, HAGL, and Ho Chi Minh City Football Club—are confirming their positions in the race to qualify for the final round of the 2025 National U17 Football Championship.
