Football result – Endrick’s lone goal brought victory to Ho Chi Minh City Police over HAGL in the V-League’s third round
In the early stages of the match, Ho Chi Minh City Police created more dangerous chances towards HAGL’s goal. In the 4th minute, Võ Hữu Việt Hoàng took a shot that lacked precision, while Utzig delivered a threatening cross that was timely cleared by a defender from the away team.
At the 11th minute, Tiến Linh had an opportunity to open the scoring for Ho Chi Minh City Police but wasted it with a careless finish despite being in a comfortable position. Afterwards, HAGL responded with a shot from Ryan Ha, but a home defender managed to head it away.
The match then became lively with continuous exchanges of attacks, including a missed one-on-one chance by Tẩy Văn Toàn.
After relentless efforts, Ho Chi Minh City Police finally found the opening goal. In the 42nd minute, following a combination on the left flank, Quang Hùng delivered a perfect cross for Endrick to easily tap the ball past goalkeeper Trung Kiên. This was also the last notable action of the first half.
In the second half, the pace slowed down as Ho Chi Minh City Police deliberately reduced the tempo, allowing HAGL more time to control possession.
However, the Mountain Town team created only one notable chance: Conceicao’s shot in the 66th minute, which was blocked by defender Felipe Santos.
Meanwhile, the home side failed to generate any dangerous opportunities against goalkeeper Trung Kiên’s goal.
In the end, Ho Chi Minh City Police secured a narrow 1-0 victory over HAGL. The three points helped coach Lê Huỳnh Đức’s team climb to 6th place on the standings, while HAGL dropped to the second-to-last position with just one point.
