Garnacho is a player with a very unique character; the Argentine forward looks up to Cristiano Ronaldo. Last season, he was among just two Manchester United players close to a double-double in performance metrics. Yet, after a dispute with manager Amrabat, he was sidelined. Garnacho is determined not to go anywhere else and is focused on enlisting with Chelsea to challenge his old team Manchester United, which has greatly motivated him.
According to the latest report from Italian transfer expert Romano, Chelsea has agreed to sign Manchester United’s 21-year-old Argentine forward for nearly £40 million. The Blues will follow their usual signing pattern by offering a long-term contract lasting 7 years. Multiple media outlets have reported that Manchester United will retain a 10% sell-on clause for Garnacho after his move to Chelsea.
Garnacho is a product of Manchester United’s youth academy. He was promoted to the first team in the 2022-23 season and has since played 144 matches across all competitions for the Red Devils, scoring 26 goals and providing 22 assists.
Now 21 years old, Garnacho stands 1.80 meters tall and is right-footed. Primarily a left winger, he can also play as an attacking midfielder or right winger. Valued at €45 million by Transfermarkt, his current contract runs until 2028. Last season, he appeared 58 times for Manchester United in all competitions, starting 40 games and contributing 11 goals and 10 assists.
