How the 2025/26 Europa League draw will be conducted

The draw for the 2025/26 Europa League qualifying round is scheduled for August 29, 2025 (Vietnam time), immediately following the conclusion of the play-off round and confirming all 36 participating clubs.

According to the competition format, the 36 teams will be divided into 4 seeded groups based on club coefficients from the past five seasons. After grouping, teams will be drawn and paired by software, with each team playing 8 qualifying matches (4 home and 4 away). Clubs from the same country will not face each other, and no more than two teams from the same nation will be matched.

The 36 teams will compete in the qualifying round, each playing 8 matches from September to December 2025. The top 8 teams will directly qualify for the round of 16.
