On August 29 afternoon, FIFA updated the newest women's futsal rankings. Vietnam's women's futsal team stayed steady at 11th place in the world.
Specifically, the Vietnam women's futsal team lost 7.42 points, leaving them with a total of 1128.28 points and maintaining their 11th spot globally and fourth in Asia. At the 2025 AFC Women's Futsal Championship, Coach Nguyễn Đình Hoàng's squad played four matches, winning two, drawing one, and losing one (to Japan in the quarterfinals).
Meanwhile, the Thailand women's futsal team earned 33.42 points for finishing as runners-up at the 2025 AFC Women's Futsal Championship, climbing one rank to 4th place worldwide. The champions, Japan, gained 76.5 points, rising five places to enter the top 5 on the ranking.
The top spot continues to be held by Brazil's women's futsal team, followed by Spain in second and Portugal in third. These three positions remained unchanged in this ranking update.
