Without reinforcements, relegation is imminent; Wolves sign the Belgian Pro League top scorer for a total of €27 million — 24 years old with 23 goals and 7 assists.

Premier League clubs know that remaining in the league means holding onto a gold mine, so mid-to-lower table teams fiercely battle to stay up. When they notice their strength has diminished after selling players, they promptly bring in potential stars to reinforce the squad. Wolves are one such team, having detected the danger of relegation and swiftly signed the Belgian league’s top scorer to enhance their offense.

Journalist Jacobs Ben updated social media on August 30th, reporting that Wolves have signed the 24-year-old Nigerian forward from Genk.ArokodareAn agreement has already been reached, with the transfer expected to be completed by this weekend. Wolves will pay a transfer fee of €26 million plus €1 million in add-ons to secure Arokodare. The club stated this deal is unrelated to Larsen’s future and is purely a reinforcement signing.

Arokodare joined Genk in January 2023 for a €5 million transfer fee from Amiens, and to date, he has played 113 matches for Genk, scoring 41 goals and providing 12 assists.

Currently 24 years old, standing 1.97 meters tall, a right-footed target striker, Arokodare is valued at €18 million by Transfermarkt. Last season, he appeared in 43 matches across all competitions, scoring 23 goals and assisting 7 times, including 21 league goals (excluding penalties), earning him the Belgian Pro League Golden Boot.
