Jackson is unwilling to be a backup plan; he is determined to join Bayern and stay in Munich, refusing to return to Chelsea.

It is often said that a soldier who does not aspire to be a general is not a good soldier, and the same applies to players who all have their own pride. This summer, Chelsea signed forwards Draper and João Pedro, pushing Jackson to the third option for the number 9 shirt. Jackson’s transfer to Bayern, involving a €15 million one-year loan, €65 million buyout, and a future resale percentage, is almost finalized, with him already arriving in Munich. However, after the latest Premier League round (round 3), despite Chelsea beating Fulham 2-0, their starting striker Draper got injured and is expected to be out for 8 weeks. Chelsea urgently halted Jackson’s loan move to Bayern and wants him back in the squad.

According to the latest report from the British media outlet The Sun, Jackson is fully committed to joining Bayern and wants to be the team’s first choice, not rejected and sent back. Therefore, he refuses to return to Chelsea and has instructed his agent to continue negotiations to push the loan deal with Bayern forward.

Sources reveal that Chelsea’s management asking Jackson, who is already in Munich, to return to London, has hurt his pride. The Senegalese striker is angry and remains in Munich, eager to join Bayern. His agent is actively working to finalize Jackson’s loan transfer to Bayern.

In my personal opinion, Jackson’s stance is completely understandable. Returning to Chelsea only to wait for Draper’s recovery and then not getting playing time is less desirable than joining Bayern, where he can learn from the master striker Kane for several years and improve his skills to eventually succeed him.
