The newest update from Italian transfer specialist Romano reveals that the ex-Premier League striker and high-scoring Serbian forward Mitrović has departed Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia and moved to Qatari side Al Rayyan.

Romano reports that Al Rayyan has finalized a deal with Al Hilal to secure the signing of the formidable Mitrović. Al Hilal first terminated Mitrović’s contract before he permanently joined Al Rayyan. The former Premier League forward will continue his career in Asia, starting a new chapter in Qatar.

According to French journalist Santi Aouna, Mitrović’s annual salary at Al Rayyan in Qatar is approximately $10 million.

Mitrović transferred from Fulham to Al Hilal in the 2023 summer window for a fee of €52.6 million. Over two seasons, he played 79 matches across all competitions, scoring 68 goals and providing 15 assists, demonstrating remarkable efficiency.

Mitrović is currently 30 years old, stands 1.89 meters tall, and is a right-footed striker. His contract with Al Hilal was originally valid until 2026, with a market value estimated by Transfermarkt at €18 million. Last season, he appeared 36 times for Al Hilal in all competitions, contributing 28 goals and 7 assists.
