Coach Kim Sang Sik: ‘I am satisfied with the victory and the 2-0 scoreline’

Mr. Kim Sang Sik confirmed his satisfaction with what the U23 Vietnam players accomplished against U23 Bangladesh, winning 2-0 and securing 3 points tonight in Viet Tri on September 3rd.

Coach Kim Sang Sik was very effective in managing personnel by adjusting the lineup and giving chances to Ngoc My and Le Viktor. These decisions produced positive outcomes, leading the U23 Vietnam team to a 2-0 victory over U23 Bangladesh.

“Today’s game took place under fairly hot weather conditions. I am pleased with today’s win and the 2-0 result. In the second half, U23 Vietnam had numerous opportunities, but the opposing goalkeeper performed exceptionally well. Overall, I am satisfied with this outcome and we are looking forward to the next match against U23 Singapore,” Coach Kim Sang Sik commented at the post-match press conference.

When asked about individual players of the U23 Vietnam team, Mr. Kim Sang Sik said: “After coming onto the field, Viktor Le played well and adhered to the tactics I requested. I congratulate Viktor Le for scoring in this match. Thanh Nhan made an impressive return after injury. He performed well in moving within the final third of U23 Bangladesh’s half.

With two qualifying matches left, I hope Thanh Nhan will continue to improve. Regarding Xuan Bac, if he can enhance the effectiveness of his passes and defensive support, I believe he will perform better in the upcoming games.”

Regarding the next opponent, U23 Singapore, Coach Kim Sang Sik stated: “I have observed U23 Yemen and U23 Singapore play. The hot weather impacts the players’ stamina.

In my opinion, the level of the four teams in this group is quite even, so the U23 Vietnam team must prepare thoroughly for the upcoming match against U23 Singapore.

Against U23 Bangladesh, U23 Vietnam created many chances, but the ball hit the crossbar and posts, and the U23 Bangladesh goalkeeper also performed excellently. My responsibility, along with the players’, is to improve finishing effectiveness in the next two matches.”
