With Yancheng defeating Suzhou 3-2 and Huaian beating Taizhou 3-1, the latest standings of the Suzhou Super League have been released: Nantong achieves 10 consecutive wins.

On September 7th, Beijing time, the Jiangsu City Football League continued with its 11th round, concluding two matches. In a high-scoring game, Suzhou narrowly fell 2-3 to Yancheng, while Huaian’s multiple scorers led them to a 3-1 win over Taizhou. Consequently, the latest standings have been updated: Nantong leads with an impressive 10-game winning streak, holding a 9-point advantage over second place. Nanjing stands second, and Xuzhou ranks third, surpassing Yancheng who shares 19 points.

Suzhou versus Yancheng. Yancheng has been struggling recently, losing 2-3 to Nanjing in a tough match, followed by an upset 0-2 defeat to Wuxi, suffering two consecutive losses. This round, they faced ninth-ranked Suzhou. The match turned into a goal fest, with Yancheng clearly stronger, scoring first away at the 12th minute. Suzhou fought back and equalized in the 32nd minute. In the second half, Yancheng launched relentless attacks, scoring two more goals to extend the lead to 3-1, effectively sealing the game. Suzhou, lacking defense, patiently sought chances and scored a late goal in the 90th minute, but it was too late. Ultimately, Yancheng won 3-2, ending their two-game losing streak and climbing to third place!

Huaian versus Taizhou. Both teams are close in ranking, within the top eight, and this round was a crucial battle for positioning. Huaian had recently suffered two straight defeats, losing 0-1 to Yangzhou and Lianyungang. From the start, home team Huaian created many chances. During two corner kicks, Zhao Xuyang surprisingly scored twice with headers, giving Huaian a dream 2-0 lead. Later, Taizhou indirectly caused an own goal by Yang Mingtao from a free kick, unexpectedly pulling one back. Then Huaian took a free kick, and Zhu Ming headed in to secure the victory. The match ended with Huaian defeating Taizhou 3-1. Interestingly, all four goals were headers and all came from set-pieces, making it a truly remarkable game!

With that, one match remains in the 11th round: the Changzhou versus Suqian showdown. The latest standings have been updated, with Nantong dominating alone, boasting 10 consecutive wins and leading the pack. Nanjing is second, Yancheng third, and the top eight teams are gradually being confirmed!
