Alvarez's market value remains unchanged, with 7 goals and 5 assists in 14 matches during this period, valued 80 million euros less than Bellingham.

Transfermarkt's October 2nd update on La Liga player valuations showed the puzzling result that Alvarez, in great form, and Bellingham, recovering but underperforming, kept their previous prices. Alvarez remains at 100 million euros, and Bellingham at 180 million euros. Supporters have commented that Alvarez is priced too low and Bellingham too high. What’s your take?

The last time Transfermarkt updated La Liga player values was June 9th this year. Since then, Alvarez has played 14 matches, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists; including 3 games with the Argentine national team with 1 assist, 3 matches in the Club World Cup with 1 assist, and 8 games this season in La Liga and Champions League with 7 goals and 3 assists.

In my opinion, this La Liga valuation update shows Transfermarkt recognizing some overvaluation among Real Madrid players. Among the top ten in La Liga, only Vinicius and Rodrygo saw their values drop, while the other eight remained steady. Considering Alvarez’s recent outstanding form, it’s unreasonable that his value hasn’t increased. Even more surprising is Bellingham’s unchanged 180 million euro valuation. Honestly, Bellingham’s technical skills are lacking; his scoring mainly comes from late runs from midfield. He’s a promising talent but not a superstar, so his value seems inflated. I believe if Alvarez keeps shining, his market value will rise in the next update.
