U23 Vietnam player speaks honestly as his team remains winless after six matches

Thái Sơn openly expressed his sadness that Thanh Hóa has yet to achieve a win in the 2025/26 season.

Thanh Hóa remains without a win in the 2025/26 season after a 1-1 draw with Becamex TPHCM on the evening of October 2nd. After the match, midfielder Nguyễn Thái Sơn shared:

"In my opinion, the entire Thanh Hóa team played well today. However, the draw is not the result I was hoping for. I wanted to win this match. Perhaps after the recent changes at Thanh Hóa and during the game, the whole team tried very hard, but the final finishing moments prevented us from achieving the desired outcome."

The Thanh Hóa team is going through one of the toughest periods in its V-League history. The U23 Vietnam player confided: "The recent results are quite disappointing, but they also motivate the whole team to fight hard in every match. The entire squad needs to put in more effort. My goal, along with Thanh Hóa’s, is to focus on each game, and the team will try to perform better and aim for a higher ranking."

Regarding the performance of foreign players, Thái Sơn stated: "Thanh Hóa’s foreign players are adapting and integrating very well with the team. Gradually, they will improve their play."

Finally, Thái Sơn expressed his gratitude to the fans who have always supported and cheered for the team. "I want to thank all the fans who have stood by the club through rain and shine recently. The whole team will strive to play better, work harder, and try to achieve what the supporters desire."
