(Football result) - Despite not playing at their best, Germany managed to win 1-0 against Northern Ireland.
In the 14th minute, Northern Ireland put the ball in the net thanks to Daniel Ballard. However, their joy was short-lived as, after a VAR review, the referee ruled the goal offside and disallowed it in the 15th minute.
Following several physical encounters, Germany found the opening goal in the 31st minute. From a corner kick, Nick Woltemade reacted quickest and skillfully directed the ball into the net. Although the referee consulted VAR to check for a handball, the final decision confirmed the goal, putting Germany ahead 1-0.
In the second half, Northern Ireland pushed hard to equalize. In the 60th minute, Shea Charles had a dangerous shot that was brilliantly saved by German goalkeeper Oliver Baumann. Immediately after, Ethan Galbraith also fired a threatening shot, which Baumann was alert to block.

At the 89th minute, Callum Marshall struck a powerful shot at goal, but Oliver Baumann made a fingertip save to preserve Germany’s clean sheet. The match ended with a slim 1-0 win for Germany.
