TP.HCM I club further confirms its dominance in Vietnamese women's football by holding Hanoi to a draw in the final game, thus winning the national title for the 15th time and marking 7 straight years as champions in the 2025 Thai Son Bac Women’s National Championship Cup.
On the afternoon of October 13, the final match of the 2025 Thai Son Bac Women’s National Football Championship concluded with a showdown between Hanoi and TP.HCM I. A 0-0 draw allowed the team named after Uncle Ho to claim their 15th national title, extending their impressive 7-year reign over Vietnamese women's football.
From the start, Hanoi was forced to win and pushed forward aggressively, constantly pressuring TP.HCM I’s goal. However, attempts by Pham Hai Yen and Thanh Nha were powerless against TP.HCM I’s solid and disciplined defense.
Conversely, coach Doan Thi Kim Chi’s team adopted a cautious strategy, capitalizing on aerial plays and quick counterattacks to create threats. Nevertheless, unfavorable weather and slippery pitch conditions hindered their coordination. The first half ended goalless.
In the second half, TP.HCM I’s points advantage allowed them to control the game tempo. Meanwhile, Hanoi’s attacks became increasingly rushed and inaccurate in final touches. Despite efforts until the last minutes, the capital team failed to make a difference. The match ended 0-0, just enough for TP.HCM I to successfully defend their crown.
With this title, TP.HCM I continues to reinforce their status as the “queen” of Vietnamese football. Built on a stable foundation, disciplined play, and the cohesion of experienced players, the club maintains impressive form season after season. This marks their 15th championship in history and 7th consecutive win, setting a record no other domestic women’s club has reached.
In other rankings, Hanoi finished as runner-up, Than KSVN took third place, while Thai Nguyen T&T, Phong Phu Ha Nam, and TP.HCM II followed in subsequent positions. The 2025 Women’s National Championship ended with a strong impression from TP.HCM I — a team that continues to demonstrate resilience, class, and a winning spirit in Vietnamese women's football.
