The "Dandelion Smart Football Seed Program" Sets Off in Guangzhou, Empowering Grassroots Football Youth Training with Technology

On October 15th, Guangzhou Dandelion Football Club held a press conference at its Panyu base to announce the official launch of the Dandelion Smart Football Seed Program. Attendees included Maichao, Vice Chairman of the Guangzhou Football Association; Lv Jianjun, President of the Tianhe District Football Association; Li Bin, Chairman of Anhui Fuchuang Sports (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd.; Gao Zhijun, General Manager of Dandelion Smart Football; and Chen Jianlong, Director of Dandelion Smart Football Youth Training, who together witnessed the start of this public welfare-based, technology-driven youth training project, lighting the way for young footballers in economically underdeveloped regions to pursue their professional dreams.

Looking back at the original intention of "Dandelion Smart Football," since its joint launch in 2023 by Anhui Fuchuang Sports and Guangzhou Dandelion Football Club, it has been like a seed full of hope, rooted deeply in public welfare. The project aims to build a bridge to high-quality youth training resources, enabling regions rich in football culture but limited by economic conditions to cultivate outstanding football talents.

When the first phase landed in Wuchuan, Zhanjiang, nearly 500 young football players from Qingyuan Primary School, Qinba Third Primary School, and Wuchuan No.1 High School were the first to receive this support. The advanced European training system was no longer an unattainable concept; the "headquarters + regional linkage" operation model allowed professional guidance from the Guangzhou headquarters to transcend distance. Intelligent video remote monitoring tracked training details, providing real-time feedback for adjustments. Promising talents were invited to trial at the Guangzhou headquarters, and the most outstanding received fully free integrated training and education services, establishing a scientific pathway from grassroots to professional levels.

As the dandelion seeds drifted further into remote mountainous areas, new stories continued to unfold. In September this year, the Tianhe District Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau and the Tianhe District Football Association partnered to bring the project into Nayong County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, delivering standardized and personalized football training deep into the mountains. There was no compromise on professionalism due to distance, nor simplification of procedures due to conditions. This innovative practice reactivated the dormant vitality of local youth training, allowing mountain children to chase their passion on the green field. This "mountain-sea unity" commitment will continue with deep cooperation in teacher training, curriculum development, and event coordination.

At the press conference, the head of Guangzhou Dandelion Football Club outlined the project’s development blueprint in detail. The formal proposal of the "Seed Program" aims to gather more social forces, allowing Dandelion’s roots to grow deeper and spread wider. "We want to bring high-quality youth training methods to more places and do practical work for grassroots youth football in China," said Gao Zhijun, General Manager of Dandelion Smart Youth Training. The “technology + professionalism” dual engine he emphasized has now become a standout feature in the domestic youth training system—technology breaks geographical barriers, professionalism ensures training quality, and their combination creates a powerful force to drive grassroots football development.

Li Bin, Chairman of Anhui Fuchuang Sports, clearly stated full support for the "Seed Program," where corporate responsibility and public welfare intentions resonate in harmony.

Maichao, Vice Chairman of the Guangzhou Football Association, expressed that as long as this program is sustained long-term, it will not only broaden the source of elite youth players in Guangzhou but also open a brand-new exploration model for football youth training in China.

Looking ahead, the first concrete action of the Dandelion Smart Football Seed Program is already underway. In mid-November, the Tianhe District Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau and Tianhe District Football Association will invite two U9-U11 teams from Nayong County, Guizhou, to Guangzhou for an exchange match crossing mountains and seas. This event is not only a technical contest but also a connection of dreams, symbolizing the warm echo of "Dandelion" flying from Guangzhou to the mountains and returning with hope from the mountains to the starting point.

“As long as there is sunlight and direction, dandelions can bloom everywhere.” This belief was conveyed at the press conference and vividly captures the spirit of "Dandelion Smart Football." When the warmth of public welfare touches young hearts and social forces unite as a driving force, Chinese football youth training will eventually witness the day when countless "dandelion seeds" blossom and bear fruit.
