Hanoi Football Club will welcome Ninh Binh FC at home in round 7 of the LPBank V-League 2025/26. This will also be Harry Kewell’s first match as the head coach of Hanoi FC.
"I am really excited to work with the new coach. Today is only a recovery session, but tomorrow I will join the full team training. I look forward to fresh ideas from the coach so I can adjust quickly and effectively, and help the team achieve many wins.
The entire squad is fully focused on quickly adapting to Coach Kewell’s tactics. I believe he will bring a new energy, lifting the team’s morale and creating a fresh atmosphere so we can play with ease and confidence."

Assessing the upcoming opponent, Xuân Mạnh acknowledged: "They play with strong cohesion and have a deep roster. But the team is confident that under Coach Kewell’s guidance, we will head in a positive direction."
After 6 rounds, Hanoi Football Club has 8 points, currently trailing Ninh Binh by 6 points. The upcoming match is not only a chance to reduce the gap but also the first test for new head coach Harry Kewell.
For Xuân Mạnh, the match against the current leaders of the V-League 2025/26 is an opportunity to showcase his skills before the Australian head coach.
Xuân Mạnh, along with Duy Mạnh, Hai Long, and Tuấn Hải, recently returned after representing Vietnam in two Asian Cup 2027 qualifying matches against Nepal on October 9 and 14.
Just hours after the second leg at Thống Nhất Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City), the four Hanoi FC players traveled back to the capital and were present at the team’s training ground on the afternoon of October 15.
However, the players who just returned from the national team were allowed by Coach Harry Kewell to do recovery training. They will begin intensive training from this afternoon (October 16) to prepare for the match against Ninh Binh FC in two days.
