In round 7, Ho Chi Minh City Police hosted their tough rival Hà Tĩnh, who had won their last three matches at Thống Nhất stadium. However, playing with only 10 men from the 59th minute after Huy Toàn’s second yellow card forced Coach Lê Huỳnh Đức’s team to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Also in this round, league leaders Ninh Bình made a breakthrough with an impressive 2-1 victory on the day Hanoi FC debuted coach Harry Kewell. With this result, the ancient capital team solidified their top spot with 17 points, 3 points ahead of the two police teams, Ho Chi Minh City Police and Hanoi Police.

Fairly speaking, Hanoi FC players showed positive signs in their playing style on the official debut of head coach Harry Kewell and naturalized player Đỗ Hoàng Hên for the capital club. Facing the league leaders in good form, Hanoi started with strong determination and dominated the first half. Many dangerous chances were created early on at Hàng Đẫy stadium. However, wasted opportunities cost Hanoi FC a 1-2 defeat. This result made Coach Harry Kewell’s debut less than ideal.

In other developments, Becamex Ho Chi Minh City unexpectedly defeated defending champions Nam Định at Thiên Trường stadium, while at Vinh stadium, Hanoi Police drew 1-1 with SLNA. The draw caused the police team to miss the chance to challenge Ninh Bình for the top spot. Meanwhile, the loss to Becamex Ho Chi Minh City dropped Nam Định to 9th place with 7 points, a disappointing outcome for Coach Vũ Hồng Việt’s squad.

Round 7 of the 2025-2026 V-League saw two teams still winless this season: Thanh Hóa and HAGL.

Playing away at PVF-CAND, Thanh Hóa engaged in a thrilling scoring battle that ended in an exciting 2-2 draw. With just one more point gained, Coach Choi Won-kwon’s team trails Đà Nẵng and SLNA by 1 and 2 points respectively in the standings.

Meanwhile, HAGL remains stuck at the bottom after a heavy defeat at Hải Phòng’s Lạch Tray stadium in round 7.

After two consecutive draws, HAGL arrived at Lạch Tray full of hope but left deeply disappointed with a 0-3 loss. This result keeps Coach Quang Trãi’s team entrenched at the bottom with only 3 points.
