Da Nang coach shares good news about Bui Tien Dung’s injury

Coach Le Duc Tuan stated that the injury of goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung is less severe than originally predicted.

Goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung, recently recovered from injury, was assigned as the starting keeper in round 7 of the V-League during SHB Da Nang’s away match against The Cong Viettel. Facing a stronger opponent, Bui Tien Dung was expected to be a reliable pillar to help Da Nang secure at least a point at Hang Day Stadium.

However, misfortune seemed to continue haunting the 1997-born goalkeeper. After just over 15 minutes of play, Bui Tien Dung was forced to leave the field due to a recurring injury. He suffered an issue following a poor landing while rushing out of the goal to make a save and was unable to continue. The Da Nang goalkeeper had to be carried off on a stretcher shortly after returning to the pitch.

From observation, Bui Tien Dung injured his knee and had it immobilized with a brace before being stretchered off. Subsequently, SHB Da Nang had to bring on substitute goalkeeper Phan Van Bieu. This injury appears quite serious and may require him to be sidelined for some more time.

Fortunately for SHB Da Nang and Bui Tien Dung’s fans, the goalkeeper’s injury does not seem too severe. Coach Le Duc Tuan disclosed after the match: "His injury is not as bad as initially diagnosed. Bui Tien Dung will be taken to the hospital for further examination.

He just returned from injury, eager to prove himself, but unfortunately got hurt again. Hopefully, this injury won’t be too serious for Bui Tien Dung."

While in good form, Bui Tien Dung suddenly suffered a shoulder injury during training before the match against PVF-CAND. This incident forced him to miss nearly a month of play, sitting out matches against PVF-CAND, Becamex TP.HCM, and Hanoi FC. During that period, SHB Da Nang only earned 5 points in 6 rounds and lost all 3 home games, a performance that left Coach Le Duc Tuan quite disappointed.
