Công Phượng continues to be absent in the First Division league matches

After 4 rounds in the First Division, Công Phượng remains unable to play his first match.

On October 18, Trường Tươi Đồng Nai visited Long An in the 4th round of the First Division. Facing a weaker opponent, this was an opportunity for coach Việt Thắng's team to secure a full 3 points. As expected, Đồng Nai won 2-1.

However, once again, the most anticipated star, Công Phượng, did not participate in this match. This marks the 5th consecutive match since the season began (4 in the First Division and 1 in the National Cup) that the former HAGL player has been sidelined due to injury. Fortunately, despite Công Phượng’s absence, Trường Tươi Đồng Nai's performance remains promising.

In the First Division, Trường Tươi Đồng Nai has achieved 3 wins and 1 draw, currently leading with 10 points. In the National Cup qualifiers, the "Green Storm" also defeated V-League representative Becamex TP HCM.

Notably, although Công Phượng is absent, another former HAGL player, Minh Vương, is performing exceptionally well. The midfielder born in 1995 leads the First Division top scorer list with 5 goals in just 4 rounds. Even without Công Phượng, Trường Tươi Đồng Nai’s offense is still effective.
