FIFA to build a Football Academy in Vietnam

Mr. Infantino observed that Vietnamese football has made notable positive strides recently, with players steadily enhancing their fitness and technical skills. The FIFA President hopes to create a FIFA Football Academy in Vietnam to further boost the country’s football quality.

At the 47th ASEAN Summit held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, FIFA and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) signed a new phase Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation and announced the launch of the FIFA ASEAN Cup football tournament.

FIFA officially declared the establishment of the FIFA ASEAN Cup for national teams in Southeast Asia, expected to follow the model of the FIFA Arab Cup.

FIFA will work together with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), ASEAN Football Federation (AFF), and regional member federations to finalize the competition format soon.

HAGL coach concerned about Vietnamese player

Center-back Đinh Quang Kiệt suffered an injury and had to leave early in the match against Thể Công Viettel.
