Phù Đổng FC achieved a win in their debut match at the third division, defeating Trẻ Công an Hà Nội.
The opening round of the 2025 National Third Division Football League concluded with exciting action across all three groups, where Trẻ Phù Đổng, TTHL&ĐTTT Khánh Hòa, and Trường Giang Gia Định temporarily took the lead at the start line.
In Group A, Trẻ Hoài Đức secured a 2-1 victory over Trung tâm Bóng đá Đào Hà in the opening match, starting off well with the support of their home crowd. Earlier, Hà Nội Bulls and Luxury Hạ Long shared points after a 0-0 draw.
Meanwhile, today’s matches saw Trẻ Phù Đổng FC make an impressive debut by defeating Trẻ Công An Hà Nội 3-0, temporarily topping the group with 3 points (goal difference +3), ahead of Trẻ Hoài Đức (3 points, +1). Hà Nội Bulls and Luxury Hạ Long followed with 1 point each, while TTBĐ Đào Hà and Trẻ Công An Hà Nội occupied the bottom spots.
After Phù Đổng Ninh Bình won the First Division and secured promotion to the 2025/2026 V-League, Phù Đổng Sports Investment Joint Stock Company transferred the entire squad to Ninh Bình province and officially renamed the team Ninh Bình FC. The name Phù Đổng FC, upon its official return, must start anew from the National Third Division. The team also announced that experienced coach Trương Việt Hoàng will take the role of Technical Director.
In Group B, TTHL&ĐTTT Khánh Hòa had a strong start with a 3-1 win over Trẻ Đắk Lắk, temporarily leading the group. Meanwhile, Trẻ Thống Nhất TPG and TTHL&TĐ TDTT Hà Tĩnh drew 1-1 in a tightly contested match.
With these results, TTHL&ĐTTT Khánh Hòa temporarily leads Group B with 3 points, followed by Trẻ Thống Nhất TPG and Hà Tĩnh with 1 point each. Trẻ Đắk Lắk stands at the bottom, while Trẻ Becamex Bình Dương has yet to play their opening match.
Group C witnessed lively matches with many goals scored. Trẻ Đồng Tháp defeated STP FOOD TP.HCM 2-1, while An Giang also overcame Trẻ Đồng Nai by the same score. In the other match, Trường Giang Gia Định beat Đại học Công nghệ Đồng Nai 3-1, temporarily leading the group due to a better tiebreaker than their rivals.
