Vietnam’s national team rival secures a big win ahead of SEA Games 33, coach reveals the truth

As the host of SEA Games 33 and a rival competing for the gold medal with Vietnam’s women’s team, they secured a 5-1 win over Bangladesh last night on October 27th. Following a flawless warm-up to begin their campaign for the Southeast Asian Games gold, coach Nuengruethai Sathongwian revealed a fact.

On the evening of October 27th, Thailand’s women’s team beat Bangladesh 5-1 in a friendly match during FIFA Days. The home team completely dominated the match. Saowalak Pengngam scored early to open the scoring, before Chiraphon Mangkhaldee doubled the lead. Madison Kasteen stood out with a brace, scoring once in each half. Jiraporn Mongkoldee successfully converted a penalty, sealing the 5-1 win.

Bangladesh managed only a consolation goal by Shamsunnahar Jr. This result helped Thailand improve their FIFA ranking points and build confidence toward their goal of winning the gold medal at SEA Games 33 on home ground.

After the match, coach Nuengruethai stated: "The entire team has achieved the set objectives. I told the players that we want to win both matches because the outcomes will affect our FIFA ranking. This is also an opportunity to test our squad members.
