Coach Le Duc Tuan expressed his disappointment that his team was unable to maintain their lead until the final minute against Thep Xanh Nam Dinh Club.
On the evening of October 27, SHB Da Nang played a brave match against the reigning champions Thep Xanh Nam Dinh. The Han River team started as underdogs but surprisingly took the lead thanks to a goal by Phi Hoang.
After conceding, Nam Dinh launched a strong attack, putting significant pressure on goalkeeper Van Bieu’s goal. However, it was not until the final official minute that Lucas Alves managed to equalize for the home team.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Coach Le Duc Tuan could not hide his regret. He stated: "This is not the first time we have conceded a goal in the final minutes. The players gave their all until the very end, so this result is truly unfortunate."
Despite drawing with the current champions, SHB Da Nang still remains at the bottom of the table. They have 6 points, equal with SLNA and HAGL but lag behind on other tiebreak criteria.
"Nevertheless, this draw shows the whole team's effort, especially the two foreign forwards. We need to improve our ability to convert chances more effectively." This result helps SHB Da Nang escape the last place, but they still only have 6 points, tied with Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) and Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA)," Coach Tuan added.
In the next round, the Han River team will return home to face direct competitor SLNA. The match will take place at 18:00 on November 1.
