Manchester United believes Bissouma is not worth £100 million! If the price doesn't drop or his form improve, they will not consider signing him next year.

This summer, Manchester United approached Brighton midfielder Carlos Bissouma, with Rúben Amorim aiming to strengthen the midfield. However, the player was valued at £120 million, leading the Red Devils to walk away. Now, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos might feel relieved by that decision, as this season’s performance has shown the player is not worth £100 million, let alone £120 million.

In the 4-2 victory over Brighton, Bissouma delivered a mediocre performance, being substituted before the hour mark and receiving a rating of 5.8, the worst in the team alongside others. This is far from his form last season, when he contributed 4 goals and 2 assists in 40 appearances. It is believed that the rumors linking him to Manchester United have affected the mindset and performance of the 21-year-old Cameroonian.

It is reported that Manchester United has concluded Bissouma is definitely not worth spending £100 million on. Not only does his ability not justify the price, but his mentality is also questionable. Therefore, for a January transfer to happen, two main conditions must be met: first, a significant price reduction for Bissouma, and second, his form must improve enough to convince United’s management that he is worth the high fee.

There are many other names on Manchester United’s shortlist for new midfield signings, but most come with high price tags. Among them is Nottingham Forest’s 22-year-old England international Elliott Anderson, who is also valued between £100 million and £120 million ahead of their upcoming match against the Red Devils this weekend!

Florian Plettenberg, a transfer expert from German Sky Sports, said that although Forest are deep in the relegation zone, they have no intention of easily selling Anderson, who has made 4 appearances for England. His contract runs until 2029 with no release clause. Nottingham Forest’s survival and potential buyers’ Champions League status will influence Anderson’s decision. Spanish giants Real Madrid are also rumored to be interested.

Interestingly, Manchester United will soon face clubs that feature midfield targets currently under their scouting radar! After Bissouma and Anderson, at the end of November, the Red Devils will play Crystal Palace, whose Adam Walton is another player admired by Amorim.

According to the English media outlet Daily Express, England youngster Jude Bellingham has ruled out a loan move to Manchester United in January. The 20-year-old joined Borussia Dortmund this season from Sunderland for £25 million but has yet to shine like his brother Jude did in the Bundesliga, starting only twice in the league. As a result, he is reportedly considering leaving to seek more playing time.

However, a move to Manchester United is considered pointless because he feels the Red Devils lack European competition qualification, and his playing style does not fit Amorim’s 3-4-3 system. Thus, joining United would likely not improve his situation compared to Dortmund.

Recently, the number of midfielders linked with Manchester United has increased by two or three, including Chelsea’s Andrey Santos. Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal reportedly offered £60 million for the 21-year-old Brazilian international, but Chelsea rejected the bid. Consequently, the chances of United signing Santos are very slim.

Roma’s Manu Kone is another player under long-term observation by Manchester United, but the club believes the French midfielder is not yet ready to play in the Premier League.

Premier League transfer expert Graeme Bailey said: "Angelo Stiller from Stuttgart and Manu Kone from Roma are two players Manchester United know very well. The club appreciates them and is closely monitoring their progress. Kone’s tactical fit is very similar to Amorim’s style. However, neither will move in January as they want to focus on securing their national team spots ahead of the World Cup and avoid mid-season transfers.”

As for Bayern Munich’s Pavlovic, Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano told Manchester United fans not to expect anything. "Regarding Pavlovic, I can confirm there is no substantial news. He is a key player at Bayern and very happy there. The Bayern board, including Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Uli Hoeneß, and others, view Pavlovic as an important figure for both current and future projects. Therefore, there is no connection between Pavlovic and Manchester United. I don’t know where these rumors came from, but Bayern definitely won’t sell him, so there’s no need to discuss it further.”
