In this match, Tottenham has the home advantage but suffers significant squad losses, while MU is gradually regaining form and cohesion under coach Ruben Amorim.

In the previous Premier League round, Tottenham lost 0 - 1 to Chelsea. However, the Spurs quickly regained confidence with a 4 - 0 victory over Copenhagen in the Champions League. That win restored belief for coach Thomas Frank’s team ahead of the MU clash.

Tottenham currently sits 6th in the standings, just one point behind Liverpool in 3rd place. A win against MU would mark their first time since the 1959 - 1960 season to beat the Red Devils three times consecutively in England’s top division.

Tottenham is the club with the most home losses in the Premier League in 2025 (9 matches). Under coach Thomas Frank, he has only won 3 out of the last 16 home Premier League games (4 draws, 9 losses), including his time managing Brentford.

Tottenham’s "win away, lose at home" pattern has reappeared this Premier League season. Out of 5 home games so far, Tottenham has won only once, drawn once, and lost three times. Losing to city rivals Chelsea at home last round seems to have ended coach Thomas Frank’s honeymoon period, and he will face heavy pressure if similar results continue against MU.

On the other side, coach Ruben Amorim’s squad is showing improvement after a difficult start. MU is desperate for a victory to experience the top-table atmosphere—a position they have yet to reach this season.

After a 1 - 3 loss to Brentford in late September, MU won three consecutive Premier League matches before drawing 2 - 2 with Nottingham Forest last weekend. MU currently stands 8th, just behind Tottenham and Chelsea on goal difference.

This trip to North London is considered a tough challenge for the Red Devils, as their head-to-head record is a nightmare: MU hasn’t beaten Tottenham in the last 7 encounters across all competitions (2 draws, 5 losses), including defeats in the last 4 matches.

Tottenham was truly a nemesis for MU last season. In all 4 meetings, Tottenham won every time. Notably, Tottenham defeated MU 1 - 0 in the Europa League final to claim the trophy and secure a Champions League spot this season. The Red Devils are determined to "avenge" this streak of draws and losses against this rival.

The highly anticipated match between Tottenham and MU will kick off at 19:30 on November 8. A victory in this game will temporarily move the winning team up to second place in the table.

Expected starting lineups for both teams

Tottenham:
Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence; Bentancur, Palhinha, Sarr; Kudus, Richarlison, Simons

MU: Lammens; Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw; Amad, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dalot; Mbeumo, Cunha, Sesko
