Cristiano Ronaldo netted his 953rd career goal, significantly contributing to Al Nassr’s 3-1 win against Neom in the Saudi Pro League’s 8th round, thereby securing their place at the top of the table.

On the night of November 8, Cristiano Ronaldo continued to demonstrate his impressive scoring form by playing a crucial role in Al Nassr’s 3-1 triumph over Neom SC in the Saudi Pro League’s 8th round, further strengthening their lead at the top of the rankings.

The Portuguese star was the focal point of the match with a goal in the 65th minute. After a Neom defender’s error, the ball unexpectedly reached Ronaldo. His first shot was saved by the goalkeeper, but teammate João Félix cleverly shielded the ball, earning a penalty. On the second attempt, CR7 calmly outwitted the keeper, doubling Al Nassr’s lead to 2-0.

This marked Ronaldo’s 953rd career goal and raised his total Saudi Pro League tally to 83 goals with 17 assists, making him the first foreign player in Al Nassr’s history to be involved in 100 goals. His outstanding form at this stage of his career is remarkable: 7 goals and 1 assist in the last 6 matches, showcasing his rare class and endurance despite his age.

Earlier, Ronaldo also played a vital role in the opening goal. His free kick hit the wall but created an opportunity for Ângelo Gabriel to score accurately, giving Al Nassr the lead. Despite playing with a man advantage from the 56th minute after Neom’s Luciano Rodríguez was sent off, the visitors conceded a goal by Ahmed Abdu at the 84th minute to reduce the deficit to 1-2. However, just two minutes later, Félix sealed the match with a stunning long-range strike, finalizing the 3-1 win.

With this result, Al Nassr continues their perfect winning streak this season and holds the top spot with 24 points, three points ahead of second-placed Al Taawon. After the match, Ronaldo will rejoin the Portugal national team to prepare for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, where he aims to achieve even greater milestones.
