With Guangdong defeating Zhejiang and Shandong crushing Jiangsu, the men's basketball group rankings at the National Games are set: the quarterfinalists are confirmed.

On November 8th Beijing time, the last round of the National Games men's basketball group stage kicked off, ending with six matches that day. Tianjin fully dominated Jilin 96-70; Beijing scored wildly to crush Macau 107-47; Shanghai's multi-point attack comfortably beat Hubei 109-82; Hong Kong, lacking strength, lost 74-92 to Henan; in the top battle, Zhejiang was defeated 65-93 by Guangdong; Shandong performed strongly, beating Jiangsu 86-66. As a result, the updated standings show Liaoning, Guangdong, and Sichuan topping their groups, and the quarterfinal lineup is complete: Liaoning, Tianjin, Beijing, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Shandong, Sichuan, and Shanghai!

In the first group’s two matches, Tianjin faced Jilin and maintained absolute control on the court, consistently overpowering Jilin on offense. The point gap quickly widened like a rising tide, and the game was gradually dominated by Tianjin, who easily defeated Jilin to claim second place in the group. Beijing played against Macau in a one-sided contest; Macau’s limited strength and weak defense couldn’t withstand Beijing’s sharp offense. Lacking scoring ability, Macau was quickly overwhelmed. Beijing led by 34-10, 31-12, and 29-9 through the first three quarters, then eased off in the final quarter to secure a 60-point blowout victory, clinching a quarterfinal spot!

In the second group’s two matches, Zhejiang and Guangdong competed for the top spot, but the game was heavily one-sided. Zhejiang lacked fighting spirit and was thoroughly dominated by Guangdong, who built a large lead by the end of the third quarter, effectively deciding the game early. Although Guangdong’s offense slowed in the last quarter, Zhejiang made no effort to fight back, and Guangdong won to secure their third consecutive victory and top the group. Shandong faced Jiangsu, delivering heavy blows in the first three quarters that caused Jiangsu to fall behind continuously as the point difference grew. Jiangsu mounted a fierce comeback in the final quarter but fell short due to the large deficit. Shandong comfortably secured their quarterfinal position with the win!

In the third group’s two matches, Shanghai showed dominance against Hubei, controlling the game completely with a fierce front line scoring continuously, steadily increasing the point gap. The match was quickly decided, and Shanghai easily defeated Hubei to claim second place. Hong Kong, lacking strength, was passively beaten by Henan, who controlled the game firmly with no chance for Hong Kong to win. Ultimately, Henan triumphed convincingly over Hong Kong!
