On November 11th Beijing time, the third round of the women’s volleyball group stage at the National Games wrapped up with six matches played. Four matches ended 3-0, and two were 3-1. In three highlighted clashes, Henan powerfully swept Sichuan 3-0, Jiangsu decisively defeated Macau 3-0, and Shandong resisted pressure to blank Shanghai 3-0. Consequently, the updated rankings place Jiangsu and Shandong at the top, followed by Henan and Shanghai in second place.

Henan faced Sichuan. Led by Zhu Ting, Henan exploded with energy, having already defeated the defending champion Tianjin and then Yunnan in the group stage. Today, against Sichuan in the third round, Henan dominated, winning the first two sets comfortably. The third set was tightly contested, but Henan’s superior skill secured a 27-25 victory to complete a 3-0 sweep. This marked their third straight win, effectively securing a spot in the quarterfinals. Jiangsu played Macau and showed overwhelming strength. Macau’s level was too low to challenge Jiangsu, who cleanly swept Macau 3-0. Macau never scored more than 15 points in any set, allowing Jiangsu to claim their third consecutive win and overtake Henan for first place. Tianjin played Yunnan, winning the first set to take control. Yunnan fought back to even the score by capitalizing on key points, but Tianjin maintained dominance to win the next two sets straight, sealing a 3-1 victory.

In Group B, Fujian faced the underdog Hong Kong and took overwhelming control, unleashing full firepower to easily secure a 3-0 victory. Shandong battled Shanghai and faced some resistance, but overall Shandong’s strength prevailed as they defeated Shanghai 3-0. Liaoning went up 2-0 against Zhejiang and reached match point, but Zhejiang fought back to win one set. Liaoning then applied pressure in the fourth set to firmly close out the match with a 3-1 win.
